Terms of Use — PlateVision AI

By downloading or using PlateVision AI ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Use. The App is developed and published by A5 Multimedia Limited ("we", "us"), Wrexham, North Wales.

Apple Terms

The App is distributed through the Apple App Store. Your use of the App is also subject to Apple's Standard End User Licence Agreement and the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.

Licence

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and Apple's applicable App Store terms. You may not copy, modify, redistribute, reverse engineer, or attempt to derive the source code of the App except where applicable law expressly permits it.

Subscriptions

PlateVision AI is free to download and use, with optional auto-renewing subscriptions that unlock the full feature set. Subscription features may include full scan history, DVLA vehicle lookups, PDF and CSV exports, saved plate record management, private plate marking, manual plate entry, photo import with OCR, Number Plate Designer, and advanced settings.

Subscription prices, durations, renewal terms, and any trial or introductory offer details are shown in the App Store purchase sheet before you confirm. Payment is charged to your Apple Account by Apple. Subscriptions automatically renew until cancelled in your Apple Account subscription settings, and Apple may charge your selected payment method up to 24 hours before the next subscription period starts.

You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple Account settings. If you cancel, access to subscription-only features continues until the end of the current paid period unless Apple states otherwise. Refunds, billing issues, price changes, and subscription cancellation are handled by Apple under Apple's terms. Apple explains cancellation steps at Apple Support.

Vehicle Lookups and External Services

If you choose to request vehicle information, the App sends the registration number you enter or scan to a relevant DVLA-connected service so vehicle data can be returned to you. Vehicle information is provided for general information only and may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate. You are responsible for checking information before relying on it.

Acceptable Use

You must use the App lawfully and responsibly. You must not use the App to harass, track, profile, or identify people unlawfully, or to process vehicle registration information where you do not have a lawful basis or legitimate reason to do so.

Your Content

You retain ownership of any photos, notes, scan history, and records you create or store in PlateVision AI. You are responsible for the content you create, save, export, or share from the App.

Privacy

Our PlateVision AI privacy policy explains how the App handles scans, photos, saved records, subscriptions, support, diagnostics, and vehicle lookups. You can read it at PlateVision AI Privacy Policy.

Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, branding, text, and built-in assets, is the property of A5 Multimedia Limited and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership of the App or any A5 Multimedia Limited intellectual property to you.

Disclaimer

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that number plate recognition, vehicle lookup results, exports, saved records, or subscription features will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for any particular purpose.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss of data, loss of profits, indirect loss, consequential loss, or damages arising from your use of the App, reliance on vehicle lookup data, or inability to access subscription features. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under applicable consumer law.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms when the App, subscription features, Apple requirements, or applicable laws change. The latest version will be made available on this page.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
